Jay Holcomb was an extremely courageous young man who had Spina Bifida. Jay is remembered by all of us at Gameday Foundation and Dulins Sports Academy with great admiration. The staff at DSA provided a support group for Jay where he thrived in a loving, caring, yet "normal" environment. Bubba Hickman and Tim Dulin included him in many tasks during the instruction of summer camps so that he could feel a part of something constructive. "Coach" Jay's smile, in this picture taken at DSA, indicates that our efforts were not in vain. What we did for Jay Holcomb was small indeed, compared to what he did for us. Thank you, Jay, for your everlasting inspiration.
Gameday Foundation is presently pursuing plans to provide support to kids who have Spina Bifida. We will also provide support to find a prevention and cure for this dreaded disease. All in memory of Jay Holcomb. |
